PCS7 Automation Engineer- on site in Germany

Senior PCS7 Automation Engineer Location: Germany Contract: Freelance Duration: Initial 12 months (extension likely) The customer is looking to strengthen their team with an experienced Siemens PCS7 Automation Engineer who can work independently and contribute from day one. This is a hands-on engineering position supporting pharmaceutical automation projects, with responsibility for programming, testing and commissioning activities across validated systems. Responsibilities: • Develop, modify and maintain Siemens PCS7 automation software • Carry out technological programming for pharmaceutical process automation systems • Support Software Acceptance Testing (SAT) and onsite testing activities • Troubleshoot automation and control system issues throughout project delivery • Execute automation modifications within validated production environments • Work independently on allocated automation tasks while collaborating with the wider engineering team • Support commissioning and system start-up activities onsite • Produce high-quality automation solutions in line with project and customer requirements Requirements: • Strong Siemens PCS7 experience (Version 9 or ideally Version 10) • Technological Programming experience • WinCC experience • PCS7 Batch experience • Experience supporting SAT, testing and commissioning activities • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Good German language skills (project communication and documentation are in German) • Willingness to work predominantly onsite in Penzberg • Siemens SIMATIC PCS7 Basic Engineer certification (or willingness to complete the online assessment) would be highly advantageous • Previous pharmaceutical or GMP automation experience is desirable
